The impact was only the beginning…
Meteors trigger unexplained events that threaten the human race. A team of scientists races to solve the mystery, but can they put together the clues in time?
Earth
The United States faces an unprecedented disaster as meteors strike across North America. However, the damage from the initial impact will be minor compared to what follows. Simon Stillwell and Alex Ramirez lead the team of scientists investigating the craters and the strange environmental changes around them. But while a skeptical administration seems more concerned with how this affects their poll numbers, something has awakened deep within the craters, and it knows exactly what it wants.
The International Space Station
A rogue fragment from one of the meteors hits the International Space Station. Now, the ISS crew finds themselves in a battle to stop an intruder threatening to infiltrate the station. As systems fail and trust is broken, it’s a race against time against an enemy that adapts to every challenge. Cut off from the surface, the crew must put aside their differences and work together if they want a chance at survival.
Terrestrial is an epic thriller featuring authentic characters who must overcome extraordinary challenges as an invasive species threatens to alter the planet forever.
“Terrestrial employs McGinnis’s usual parallel narrative structure to tell what feels like both John Wyndham’s classic sci-fi novel The Day of the Triffids (1951) and Daniel Espinosa’s film Life (2017) at one time.“
“This is a book about the human animal, its resilience, and ultimately, the power of sacrifice for the greater good.“
– The Boron Heist
“It offers a realistic reflection on potential human response should we ever make contact with extraterrestrial life, especially within the context of current U.S. culture.”

About the Author
I grew up in a small town and was a frequent visitor to the local library, where I read a variety of thrillers, sci-fi, and horror. The influence of those stories, along with my own overactive imagination, eventually led me to start crafting my own stories. These include the Xavier Greene Thriller Series, several horror-themed short stories available for free on my website, and a brand-new sci-fi thriller, Terrestrial.
When I’m not writing, I’m playing music, reading, walking on a tropical beach, enjoying local cuisine, and exploring as much as possible.

Creator vs Artist, Beta Readers and Other Musings…
I had the main idea for this blog several weeks ago. Since then we've had the worst freeze my tropical home has seen in over 30 years. This was coupled with widespread power outages as Texas tried desperately to keep it's entire power grid from collapsing. This meant...

Today I'm proud to announce the release of "Aurora" on Bandcamp. "Aurora" is a collection of remastered instrumentals that I've recorded over the years. I've always enjoyed creating instrumentals and soundscapes but rarely do they make it onto my recordings....
What a Long Strange Year It’s Been…
I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that this has been an unusual year. That’s probably an understatement, but I’m sure you all understand. It would be easy, and generic to just dog pile on 2020, but I think that would be oversimplifying it. Because yes there has been a...
