Sketch Review
Just in time for Spooky Season, I’ve gotten an unexpected treat from my friend Cody Ward over at The Boron Heist. He and I have been talking about my recent work as an author and how it all developed. So imagine my surprise when I saw he had reviewed one of my early short stories, Sketch.
Sketch was released originally in 2018 as a short story on Facebook. Last year it was officially released on horror website, Mandatory Midnight. It’s had a lot of readers, and of course I share it every Halloween. The story follows an artist named Sarah, who has went through a particularly nasty breakup. She attempts to find solace and healing in her art, only to find something more sinister may be lurking there. I think Cody nails of lot of the subtext in his review and I’m honored and humbled that he would take the time to do an analysis of it. But please, don’t take my word for it, check it out: Ruminations on a “Sketch” – The Boron Heist
