What’s Next?
So, it’s been a busy few weeks since “Tears of the Dragon” was released. I’ve found that releasing a novel is a lot like tending a garden (which I also enjoy doing!) in that you have to keep an eye on things and do what you can to help promote growth. It’s a process, not unlike my day job of marketing, in which you have to work on your organic growth, as well as your ads. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. But it’s a constant process and one that I’m totally obsessed with. The book continues to sell and I continue to tweak, and life goes on.
The other day I had someone email me through the site to ask when my next book is coming out. It’s a fair question, so I figured it was about time I took the time to give you guys an update. After taking a few weeks off from writing following the release of “Tears of the Dragon“, I’m now back, and hard at work on writing not one, but two novels. In the past week I’ve written over 10k words as I move forward on both of them.
The original plan was to release “La Canicula”, a crime thriller, next and then later next year release “The Osiris Initiative”, the sequel to “Tears of the Dragon”. However, as I’m continuing to learn the self published author thing, I’ve learned that there is a value in having more than one book in the same series. So now I’m plowing forward on both books, with my intention being to release “The Osiris Intiative” early next year (probably mid to late January), and “La Canicula” in the Spring. That’s the working plan as of now, although things could change.
In the more immediate future, there will be a hard cover edition of “Tears of the Dragon” appearing on Amazon soon. They recently started offering the service, so I decided to do it. I’ll let you know when that is available, if you are interested.
Also, I plan on working on finishing up some ukulele recordings that have mostly been languishing in limbo while I was working on getting the novel ready for release. I’ve had one of the tracks recorded for almost a year now, so it’s past time to get them out.
So in other words, it’s the same as it ever was. I’m keeping busy growing the novel, working on the next novel, and sneaking in time to play some music every once in a while. I’ll have some more news soon, so stay tuned. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me using the form on the site. I love getting questions and will answer anything you send.
Take care, and we’ll talk soon! Stay safe!
